FLORENCE Fang, the Chinese immigrant who moved to San Francisco’s Chinatown as a young woman with little money and a great ambition, has become one of the most influential Asian American women in the United States. Fang is now chairwoman of Pan Asia Venture Capital Corporation, which oversees the activities of more than 20 companies including a handful of news publications, printing houses, restaurants, hotels, real estate and chemical industry.
