For the artist’s particular identity, people routinely try to get some hints from them to interpret those messages in their works that are beyond the reach of words. As Zhang Enli, the artist we are trying to understand, has a cool and calm aura every time he appears, but under this appearance he can always feel the power of expression. It is the kind of person who, even without a word, has an unusually strong presence. From this impression, it is not hard to find the enormous tension implied by this tranquility in his works. This tension exists in many of his pictures, blending into every root line and permeating every color in. From his series “Sky” and “Tree”, this power seems to be more determined. The most intuitive sense of vision is to get rid of those impetuous and transient creative thinking, so that people can return to a simple and natural self-expression. Its screen layout and extension may also convey the artist’s personal understanding of “existence” and “extension.” What is emphasized in the painting is not purely the reality or environment that people are facing, but also more thinking about and thinking about these peripheral worlds
