2008年10月8日香港苏富比秋季拍卖“皇威万代”宫廷御制品专场推出10件乾隆时期御制印玺,近100年来一直被法国吉美家族收藏。其中两件从未在拍卖会出现:乾隆御制交龙钮“乾隆御笔”白玉玺和乾隆御制交龙钮“天恩八旬之宝”和田青玉玺。这两件法国吉美家族收藏之乾隆御制印玺来源明晰,可谓系出名门流传有序,它们曾是法国巴黎Piasa拍卖有限公司2006年6月16日举办的亚洲艺术品专拍的拍卖品,并曾于2006年5月底在中国香港2006亚洲国际艺术及古董展AIAA博览会展出。当时这两件旷世珍品甫一露面即引起各方藏家的密切关注,但是后来由于法国方面的博物馆在拍卖前两天撤销了两件玺印的出口许可证并要求不得拍卖,最终于6月14日撤拍,令许多有意竞标的藏家悻悻而归。此次香港苏富比再次征得上拍想必花费了巨大心血,时隔两年再次现身,皇帝御制印玺板块诞生新的世界纪录可能性较大。
