Introduction The European Commission has a long tradition of activities in the field of history teaching dating back to the early 1950s. The European Commission’s history textbooks promote the peace between France and Germany, and the importance of history education is also enshrined in Article 2 of the European Cultural Treaty: Every member participating in the treaty should: a. Encourage adoption of the members’ own language , To study the history and culture of the other treaty members and to facilitate the study of those members in their own countries. b. Efforts are made to promote the study of the language, history and culture of their own countries in other treaty member States and to facilitate the study by these member States in their own countries. As the importance of history has been particularly pointed out in the normative text of the Council of Europe, the Council of Europe organization has done much in this area. The Council of Europe usually works with organizations and workers involved in history education, such as ministries of education, historians, curriculum designers, textbook editors, history teachers, and tries to bring together workers of history education so that those involved in history education Play their respective important role. The protection of human rights, pluralistic democracies and the legal rules that provide the foundation for the European Commission form the basis of all organizational work, especially education and history education.
