The increased use of antennas is both economical and efficient due to the rising price of antennas, TV towers and real estate and the benefits of antenna sharing. On some occasions, this is the only way to enable two or more stations to broadcast simultaneously. Recent advances in multiplexers have benefited almost any multiplex TV station. The high-power and low-power U.S.A. and world-wide television stations, both m-wave and decimeter-wave television, have all proved to be true. This article discusses the basic design considerations for the m-wave and decimeter multiplexers. Provides guidelines for selecting the appropriate multiplexer system for different situations. Examples of test performance and details of the equipment are given one by one for each of the multiplexer models already in operation.
