A total of 625 Chemical Thresholds (TLVs) were established by the ACGIH from 1983 to 1984, an increase of 4 from 1982 and another 12 TLVs. In addition, there are also proposed TLVs of 30 chemical substances to be revised in the future. The updated and revised sections and TLVs to be revised are shown in Table 1 and Table 2, respectively. TWA is a time-weighted average in the table, STEL is the short-term exposure limit, C is the upper limit value, A_2 is a suspicious human carcinogen, and (skin) indicates that the substance can be absorbed through the skin and mucous membranes. () The number is to be modified TLV. TLV 1982 revision, see “Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases,” Volume 9 No. 6.
