埃肯大学是一个在埃肯核心业务领域范围内进行研究生教育及技术传播的机构。招收的对象包括生产厂中的冶炼技术人员、其他技术人员以及来自公司技术部门的人员。埃肯大学典型的课程安排是一星期讲授两门课程。这些课程的宗旨是提高职业技能并传播最新的“工艺水平知识”。以及“最佳已证实的技术”。教育的重点是对铁合金工艺过程的理解及电炉操作，但也安排了如后期出铁口／精炼、维护及铝技术等这样一些特殊课程。埃肯大学的课程己被批准为挪威工学院的工程继续教育课程．
The University of Elk is an institution that conducts postgraduate education and technology dissemination within Elkan’s core business area. Enrollment includes smelting technicians in the manufacturing plant, other technicians, and people from the company’s technical department. A typical course at Elkhans is teaching two courses a week. The purpose of these courses is to improve professional skills and disseminate the latest “knowledge of the craft.” As well as the “best proven technology.” The focus of education is on ferroalloy processing and furnace operation, but special courses such as later taphole / refining, maintenance and aluminum technology are also scheduled. Elkham University’s course has been approved as a Norwegian College of Engineering continuing education course.
