Intelligent virtual instrument is widely used because of its superior testing speed, testing accuracy, reliability, anti-interference ability and user interactivity. VXI bus is one of the representatives of virtual instruments. The significance of applying intelligent virtual instrument is introduced. The composition, control mode and software system of VXI bus are introduced. The application of VXI bus system to solve engineering problems is given.
