It has been reported that rapid reduction of intracranial pressure in patients with intracranial hypertension can cause systemic hypotension and cardiac arrest. This type of circulatory failure is attributed to a redistribution of cerebral blood flow and / or accompanied by hypovolemia. However, little is known about cerebral blood flow, systemic and pulmonary hemodynamic changes caused by a sudden drop in intracranial hypertension. Therefore, the authors continually increase cerebrospinal fluid pressure (CSFP) in dogs under anesthesia, observe brain and heart, pulmonary hemodynamic changes, and then observe the changes caused by the exaggerated CSFP dips to clarify the mechanism of decompression .
