海明威小说《老人与海》采用“冰山原则”创作手法,通过假定性情景的艺术真实,完美的人物塑造,寓言的形式,呈现“格斗士”桑提亚哥的不倒精神,由个体升华到典型,完成了人类在生存困境下的自我精神救赎。作为“迷惘的一代”的代表作家,海明威在他的作品中去寻找资本主义社会的救赎出路,并寄托希望于人类的精神力量。
Hemingway’s novel “The Old Man and the Sea” adopts the “iceberg principle” creative method and presents the spirit of “Gladiator” and Santillage’s unconventional spirit through the artistic realities of the hypothetical scene, the perfect characterization and the fable. Sublimation by the individual to the typical, completed the self-spiritual redemption of human beings in the survival predicament. As the representative writer of “The Lost Generation”, Hemingway looks for the salvation way out of capitalist society in his works and rests on the spiritual power that hopes for human beings.
