Four hundred people ruled the United States. The 250 largest corporations in the United States are worth 192.2 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 42 percent of the total funds of all U.S. companies. All these figures show that: Rescuing people from wanting more money than they do is having a decisive control over the U.S. economy. Most of them are bankers and are directors of industrial companies. They controlled coal and steel, the food and chemical industry, railways and power stations, publishing companies, radio and film. And through their representatives in the U.S. government and the state governments, they control the internal and foreign policies. Monopoly control over all major industries has also grown considerably. Three companies controlled the entire aluminum industry. The two companies account for 92% of the canning industry in this country and four companies account for 77% of the tobacco industry. Listed as the “Big Three” in the automotive industry - GM, Ford and Kressler - a total of 69% of the industry.
