失蜡铸造法是一种主要的精密铸造工艺,已经在生产上广泛采用。但这种工艺难以实现生产自动化,生产率和铸造成品率都比其它工艺低得多,生产成本也比较高。近年来开始发展自动造型机,工艺方面进行了许多技术革新,这种状况有所改变。其中,美国大批生产失蜡精铸件的Hitchnar公司发明了一种新的精铸工艺——CLA法,正在引起铸造行业的注意。日本已取得这项专利权,并已开始试生产。下面对此新工艺作简要介绍。
