铰刀铰孔,刀刃同时起切削与挤光作用。但这两种作用并不等效,而是随切削条件(如润滑条件)的不同而异,或切削作用起主导地位;或挤光作用起主导地位。机理比较复杂。图1所示为各种润滑剂对铰孔精度、光洁度影响的几组实验数据。为什么不用润滑剂铰孔时,孔的光洁度差、尺寸精度低、孔径偏大?而使用润滑剂后光洁度和尺寸精度都可提高、孔径逐渐偏小甚至小于铰刀直径?这个问题仅仅用一般的切削
