利用地下水中氡浓度的变化预报地震,在世界上是个开展时间不长的新的研究课题。我国的水氡观测虽然已有将近十年的历史,但较为普遍群众性的观测是在近两三年内开展的。通过观测实践,有些井的地下水中氡浓度在地震之前有明显的变化,利用地下水氡浓度变化来预报地震有其广泛的发展前途,已成为预报地震必不可少的手段之一。
Predicting earthquakes by using the variation of radon concentration in groundwater is a new research topic in the world that has not been developed for a long time. Although the observation of water radon in China has been going on for nearly ten years, the observation of the more general masses has been carried out in the past two to three years. Through observing practice, radon concentration in groundwater of some wells has obvious changes before earthquakes. Prediction of earthquakes by using the variation of groundwater radon concentration has its broad development prospects and has become an indispensable means of forecasting earthquakes.
