The procuratorial organs should further study and understand the spirit of the important speech made by General Secretary Hu Jintao on the opening ceremony of the seminar on the major leading cadres at the provincial and ministerial level, continuously increase their awareness and determination in upholding and developing the socialism system with Chinese characteristics, and accept more consciously and initiatively NPC supervision and CPPCC democratic supervision. The system of the people’s congress and the system of multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC are the cornerstone of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and an important element of socialist democracy. They are in keeping with the national conditions of China and follow the trend of the times with great superiority and strong vitality . Conscientiously accept supervision by the NPC and democratic supervision by the CPPCC, and earnestly listen to the opinions and suggestions made by NPC deputies and CPPCC members on procuratorial work. They are the necessary requirements of upholding the leadership of the party, the people being the masters of the country, and organically governing the country according to law.
