黑熱病過去被我們農民叫作“敗家病”,這一方面是因為病程長,得病以後長期的不能從事勞動;但是最主要的是因為反動政府對危害农民最大的疾病——黑熱病——熟視無睹。結果治療黑熱病有效的五價銻製劑,必須從外国買,價錢很貴,一般農民根本擔負不起,因此得病以后,治就倾家蕩產,不治也会坐吃山空。解放以後,在人民政府鼓勵和協助之下,上海的几家藥廠自己製出了幾种五價銻製劑。這些藥不但價錢比從外國買來的賤,而且效力比從外國買來的好,現在將它們介紹於下。 Kala-azar was formerly called “prodigality” by our peasants. This is partly due to the long course of illness and the long-term inability to work after getting sick. After the liberation, with the encouragement and assistance of the people’s government, several pharmaceutical companies in Shanghai made their own pentavalent antimony preparations. These medicines are not only cheaper than those bought from foreign countries but also more effective than those bought from foreign countries, and they are now introduced below.
