西汉俗文化的昌盛为史家之公认,它与汉代崇雅的文化大传统相并行。西汉俗文化的盛行集中表现在娱乐之风的昌炽。考察西汉娱乐之风昌炽的时代动因,主要有四个方面的原因:一是雅乐衰微,楚风劲吹,这一文化背景为娱乐之风的勃兴提供了肥沃土壤;二是皇帝雅好,身体力行,皇室成员成为娱乐之风的强劲推手;三是炎汉盛世,经济发达,娱乐需求的激增促成了娱乐之风大炽;四是经学昌明,神话政治,歌舞娱乐发挥着安世化民的政治功能。
The prosperity of Western Han folk culture is recognized by the historians as being parallel to the elegant cultural tradition of the Han Dynasty. The prevalence of popular culture in Western Han Dynasty is mainly manifested in Chang Chi, an entertainment style.
