Dear Editor,rnSince December 2019, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been rapidly spreading worldwide.Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine are candidates for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) owing to its antiviral effect and immunomodulation properties.However, the published results of utilizing hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine as treatment were still controversial and their efficacy and safety in patients with COVID-19 need to be further elucidated.
