八月下旬,全国各地农、医院校一百多位从事生物化学工作的代表,云集长春,来参加“全国农、医学院生化教学会议”。这是建国以来,首次专门研究农、医生化教学工作的会议。八月二十四日上午八点,会议在白求恩医科大学电化教室开幕。中国生化学会教育委员会成员、广西医学院魏琦教授主持了开幕式。中山医学院徐晓利教授介绍了这次会议的缘起和筹备经过。吉林省科协负责人也讲了话,他对来自全国各地的代表表示欢迎,对大会的召开表示热烈的祝贺。
In late August, more than one hundred biochemistry representatives from agricultural and medical schools across the country gathered in Changchun to participate in the Biochemistry Teaching Conference of the National Agricultural and Medical Schools. This is the first time since the founding of the People’s Republic of China that a special conference on agricultural and medical teaching should be conducted. At eight o’clock on August 24, the meeting opened at Bethune Medical Classroom. Chinese Society of Biochemistry Education Committee, Guangxi Medical College, Professor Wei Qi presided over the opening ceremony. Professor Xu Xiaoli of Zhongshan Medical College introduced the origin and preparation of this conference. Jilin Province Association for Science and Technology also spoke for the charge, he welcomed representatives from all over the country, warmly congratulated the convening of the General Assembly.
