瑞典反歧视立法受欧盟指令及欧洲其他国家的影响,在2009年通过制定了统一的《禁止歧视法》代替了原有的七部反歧视单行法,并成立平等监察专员办公室,取代原有的四个平等监察专员。新的《禁止歧视法》不仅禁止工作、教育等十个领域中基于性别、跨性别的身份认同或性别表达、种族、宗教或其他信仰、残障、性倾向和年龄的歧视和报复行为,还规定了在工作和教育领域中雇主和教育提供者为了促进平等所应采取的积极措施。
Swedish Anti-Discrimination Legislation Affected by EU directives and other European countries, in 2009, a unified Anti-Discrimination Act was substituted for the original seven anti-discrimination slogans and an Equal Ombudsman Office was established to replace the original Four Equity Ombudsman.
