In nuclear fuel production and research, sometimes not only the total amount of uranium needs to be analyzed, but also the uranium concentrations in different oxidation states. In the past, the commonly used method is to make use of the differences in the properties of uranium in different oxidation states, and then separate them before measuring separately. This not only complicated operation, and once in the separation process, it is difficult to avoid the oxidation or reduction of uranium, thus giving accurate measurement of uranium difficulties. This paper presents a direct determination of U (V1) in solution using a volumetric method without prior separation.
