没有健康就没有全面小康。当前，新型农村合作医疗试点工作正在全国陆续展开，这是党中央、国务院在新形势下对加强农村公共卫生建设作出的重大决策，是统筹城乡发展和经济社会发展、实现全面建设小康社会目标的重要举措，是关系广大农民的切身益和农村卫生改革大局的根本大计。2003年12月，全国新型农村合作医疗试点工作会在我省召开，这是对我省试点工作的充分肯定。但我们要清醒地看到，新型农村合作医疗是一项惠及亿万农民的系统复杂工程，切实把各项工作真正落到实处，还需要各方面的共同努力、密切配合，需要更加扎实有效的工作。
