单用或综合应用手术切除、放射、化学治疗,可长期控制非转移性肿瘤的局部病灶,但遇不能手术切除又对放疗和化疗不敏感的某些肿瘤,则需开展另外途径来控制病灶。中子等高能直线传导粒子可使染色体双丝条产生不可逆性破裂,杀伤细胞而不依赖其细胞周期、生化环境和治疗时间。除神经胶质瘤外,中子放射对低能直线放射(如电子、X线、伽马线)不敏感肿瘤可起效应,作者观察了在Fermilab的治疗结果。
Single or combined use of surgical resection, radiation, and chemotherapy can provide long-term control of local lesions in non-metastatic tumors, but in the case of certain tumors that are not surgically resected and insensitive to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, additional approaches are needed to control the lesions. Neutron and other high-energy linear conductive particles can cause irreversible rupture of double-filament chromosomes, killing cells without depending on their cell cycle, biochemical environment and treatment time. In addition to gliomas, neutron radiation can have effects on low-energy linear radiation (such as electron, X-ray, and gamma rays) insensitive tumors, and the authors observed the results of treatment at Fermilab.
