口底皮样囊肿在临床上是较为少见的,国外New氏及Erich氏曾在梅园(Mayo CIinic)医院研究1495例皮样囊肿,其中发生于肛后部位者(包括潜毛性囊肿在内)占总数之44.4％,此外42.1%发生于卵巢,“除胸髓及脑膜之囊肿外,有103例(占6.9％)之囊肿发生在头颈两部”。此103例中以眼眶及眉弓发生最多,有51例,约占49.5%,其次发生于口底为第二位有24例占23.3％。可见口底皮样囊肿是较为少见的。继有COIP(1925(,New及Erich二氏(1937),Masuda(1946)氏(1954)等各陆续
Dendritic dermoid cysts are relatively rare in clinical practice.
