根据内燃机气缸数和排气能量利用方法的不同,增压器的涡轮有各种不同数目的进口。一般,增压器的涡轮壳体可有1—4个燃气进口。涡轮排气管常常做成带有一个单向的不对称的排气口。为了布置方便,废气涡轮的结构应予先考虑到进、排气管在不同的相互位置安装的可能性。因此,这些涡轮的涡轮级工作条件在大多数情况下决定于其进、排气壳的结构和它们的相互位置。这往往不能同时保证进、排气管布置最方便而涡轮的有效效率又最高。
