This article will explore the needs of the development based on embedded systems, proposed TMS320VC5402 DSP and AT89C51 microcontroller communication three design options. The multi-channel buffered serial port MCBSP of TMS320VC5402 is used to realize SCI and SPI serial communication of TMS320VC5402 and AT89C51, respectively, and the TMS320VC5402 and AT89C51 parallel communication are realized through the 8-bit enhanced host interface HPI-8 of TMS320VC5402.
