在一些厂里普遍采用车削和成形齿轮铣刀修配蜗杆。车制蜗杆劳动强度大、质量不稳定。且光刀修正轴向齿形时,压力角不易保证或出现轧刀现象。在铣床上用成形齿轮铣刀加工蜗杆,需有万能立铣头,小厂一般无此附件,且铣刀也不全。碰到非标准蜗杆加工,困难更大。加工大模数蜗杆,振动大,效率低。我们采用立铣刀铣切蜗杆,适于修配各种压力角大模数不同螺旋线的公、英制蜗杆,这种方法比较容易掌握。加工方法(参见图):
