皇姑寺为北京市文物保护单位,位于石景山区西黄村,是昔日通往八大处的必经之所,是今日西山文化带上的“闪亮珍珠”。皇姑寺从明代创建至今已存在了五个多世纪之久,格局虽不完整,然而寺庙源流起伏跌宕,曲折离奇,与明清皇家宫廷的关系十分密切,在当时京西一带影响非常大,所起作用也很特殊,属于名闻遐迩的大庙。因此研究皇姑寺的发展轨迹及其历史地位很有必要,本文主要从皇姑寺遗留下来的两口铜钟、数通石碑以及两块石额,辅以文献记载,剖析并展现皇姑寺
