2011年7月,由吉首大学师范学院石群勇教授撰写的《文化自觉与文化生态保护——腊尔山地区苗族文化生态保护研究》一书出版发行了。该书从腊尔山地区苗族文化生态的内涵、保护状况、保护存在的问题、保护的对策、保护的价值等五个方面阐述了对文化生态保护与研究的观点,并积极探索生态保护多样性及文化生态保护的新途径。
