Vertical flow of granular materials in the gravity flow R. C. Yalawanchili et al. This paper studies the flow of granular material under the gravity of straight pipes. A continuous model is used to describe the characteristics of a granular material. Under the assumption of both sliding and non-sliding at the wall, the solution to the flow equation is obtained and compared with the Savage’s test results.
