Neill and Gunter Ltd. have conducted preliminary design and cost estimates for a ferric chloride leach plant that recovers copper, lead, zinc and silver from normally complex sulfide ores. About 30 design drawings have been provided, including process flow, equipment, piping and instrumentation drawings. The investment and operating costs of a workshop with an ore handling capacity of 1000 t / d and zinc production of 3000 t / d were estimated. The recovery of zinc, lead and copper in laboratory tests reached 99%, 98% and 96% respectively. The total metal recovery ratio of the resulting mixed concentrate is higher, and the revenue can increase by about 10%.
