本文采用了一种新型磁力矫治装置（垫式磁力后牙压低器，加前牙固定片段弓的联合使用）对６例平均年龄为１５岁９个月的骨型前牙开青少年进行尝试性矫治。除一例因复发而失败外，其余个体均在平均２年５个月的矫治后，开纠正，面型改观。表现为磨牙压低，前牙伸长及舌向移动和倾斜移动的综合效应。结果证明该磁力矫治器治疗骨型前牙开的可行性。
