Maurio Azeredo, born in 1948, is a pivotal figure on the Brazilian furniture design scene. In 1985, he started his career as a designer during his studies at the University of Brasilia School of Architecture. Since then, he has picked up a series of awards from the Brazilian Residence Museum, one of Brazil’s most trusted furniture design competition promoters. In 1992, he designed the “Banal” table, which was named the best furniture design of the year 1990-1992 and won the excellent medal at the Second Brazilian Design Biennale.
