Existing methods for manual arc welding and mechanized CO 2 gas shielded welding to repair cylinder liner flanges present great drawbacks. Therefore, it is suggested that CO_2 gas protection automatic welding should be carried out by rotating the nozzle by using a spiral when the shaft hole is in the vertical position.
