活力碘为一碘伏类消毒剂。毒性测定表明,该消毒剂对小鼠的经口LD_(50)为5.03g/kg;其0.16～0.5％溶液对家兔眼无刺激性,5％和10％溶液有轻度刺激性;然而,20％浓度对家兔皮肤无刺激反应。微核试验与致畸试验结果证明,该消毒剂无致突变与致畸作用。
