上半年我第一次担任全校各年级的珠算科专任教员。在过去我虽曾偶而地担任过一堂二堂的珠算课,不可讳言的那是为了凑时分,而绝不是因为我擅长珠算教学。尤其是把那些仅有的旧经验,加以批判后;更是所余无几了。因此我去访问几位教过珠算课的先进老师们,承他们告诉我,教珠算不可性急。必要全班学生都学会以后再进行新教材;随时留心学生打珠算的指法等。又云翻阅课程标准初稿找到了一些教学原则。同时又找了几种关于珠算的书籍课本。并不断的参阅杂志(可是杂志上关于珠算教学的材料是够稀罕的),就以这些材料作根据,凝定了上学期珠算算教学预计进度表。经过半年不断的摸索、改进,有了些经验,现总结出几个问题来供大家研究:
In the first half of the year, I was the first full-time instructor of Abacus for all grades in the school. In the past, though I had occasionally acted as abacus and abacus, I must admit that it was for the sake of time, not because I was good at abacus teaching.
