  一、考点分析
  语法填空题共有两种形式,一种是纯空格题,另一种是用所给词的正确形式填空。五年来的语法填空测试的具体语法点分布与数量如下表所示:
  通过上表可得知:
  (1)每年考点分布比较平均,每个语法点最多考查两次,如介词、代词、关联词与动词。
  (2)纯空格题主要考查冠词、介词、代词、关联词,其中关联词主要考点为引导定语从句、名词性从句、状语从句(时间状语从句为主)的连词和表转折关系的连词。
  (3)用所给词的正确形式填空,主要考查非谓语动词、动词的时态和语态、形容词和副词的比较等级、词性转换等四类语法考点。
  (4)每年重要考点:冠词、介词、代词、定语从句、非谓语动词、动词时态、比较级与词性转换(重点将形容词转为副词)。其中介词、代词、非谓语动词和动词时态是每年必考点。
  二、备考建议
  (1)分析考题,可知介词、冠词、代词主要考查考生对文段的理解,因此平常要多向学生强调句子结构,注重篇章逻辑。
  (2)要把握各类从句的结构,尤其是定语从句,要弄清不同关联词的选用。
  (3)非谓语动词与动词时态是中国学生的难点,但它们却是英语语法的重点。我们在复习中必须重新归纳复习好最基本的八大时态。
  (4)多训练常见的比较级和词性转化规律,尤其是将形容词转化为副词的基本规律。
  三、专项练习
  阅读下面短文,按照句子结构的语法性和上下文连贯的要求,在空格处填入一个适当的词或使用括号中词语的正确形式填空。
  (1)
  He was 1 president of a major advertising firm and I was a very young management consultant. I had been recommended to him by one of his employees 2 had seen my work and thought I had something to offer. I was nervous. At that stage in my career, 3 wasn’t very often that I got to talk to the president of a company. The appointment was at 10:00 a.m., 4 one hour.   I have lived in my neighborhood for twenty years. It seems to me that I’ve spent at least ten of those years 1 (look) for a lost pet.   (1)本文作者叙述了自己参加求职面试的一次经历。
  1. the 考冠词,因president后有of 短语修饰。
  2. who 考连词,引导定语从句,先行词是“one of his employers”。
  3. it 考代词,这里it作形式主语,代替主语从句“that I got to talk to the president of a company”。
  4. for 考介词,表示延续多久,用for加时间段。
  5. airy 考词性转化,名词转化为形容词,and连接两个并列结构“large and airy”,修饰名词“room”。
  6. rolled 考非谓语动词,have sth done 结构。
  7. But 考连词,上文他对我说只有20分钟,但是我只是坐在那里,一句话不说。
  8. my 考代词。通过上下句,可得知我面对不友好的面试官,虽然很紧张,但是我用巧妙的回答“这是我的20分钟。”化解了自己的尴尬,而且获得面试官的欣赏。
  9. with 考介词,结合上文,固定词组“do with”“处理”。
  10. burst 考谓语动词的时态,根据上下文语境可知,此处用一般过去时较合适,而且该动词的过去式比较特殊,过去式、过去分词都与动词原形同形。
  (2)作者叙述在邻里找丢失的小黑猫的经历。
  1. looking 考非谓语动词,句式结构“spend ...(in)doing”“花时间或金钱做……”,in可以省略。
  2. a 考冠词,泛指“一只小黑猫”。
  3. if 考连词,条件状语从句,表示“如果他们发现这只小猫,他们就会打电话给我”。
  4. that / which 考连词,定语从句,代替前面名词“house”。
  5. missing 考词性转化,动词变为形容词,修饰后面名词“Nicholas”。
  6. me 考代词,通过上下文可知他在与“我”对话,因此是看看“我”。
  7. about 考介词,短语结构“be crazy about”“对……着迷”。
  8. eagerly 考词性转化,形容词转化为副词,修饰动词said。
  9. that 考代词,指示代词,表远处,“那个(房子)”。
  10. was pointing 考谓语动词的时态,指我顺着他的手指看过去的时候,他正指着我的房子,因此用过去进行时比较恰当。
