“庄稼是朵花,全靠粪当家”,可见施足肥料是高额丰产的决定性措施之一,为了迎接1959年在农业上更大的跃进,使我省的农业大翻身,必须在全省范围内挖掘肥源,开辟肥源。海是肥库,它蕴藏着取之不尽用之不竭的富饶的肥源,海肥的特点是种类多,数量大,含有丰富的氮、磷、钾,微量元素和有机质。如调制和施用得当是养分丰富,肥效很高的肥料。最近农业厅肥料指挥部组织沈阳农学院土壤农化系部分教师及全体四年级同学约50余人,在辽宁省沿海14个市县进行了海肥的资源调查,初步摸清了省内海肥的分布情况,种类、数量、生产季节,打捞方法以及当地的使用情况,经验和肥效等,并采集了一部分样品,进行了室内分析。
