中国有近14亿人口,农民人口占总人口的44%,目前在我国有工会、工商联、学联、妇联和青联等众多团体都有组织维护各自的利益,而唯独人口最为庞大的农民阶层取没有自己的组织维护自身的利益,农民是社会主义新农村建设的主体,离开农民,就不可能完成建设社会主义新农村的重任,农业协会的成立有利于维护我国广大农民的合法权益,有利于我国农业现代化的发展,也为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦奠定良好的基础。
