During this visit to China, Professor Wei Qianguang, a member of the delegation of Pure and Applied Chemistry from the United States and director of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, made a number of academic reports and discussions and introduced the kinetic theory to which he was engaged. This article will be a synopsis of his report and part of a previously published paper. In recent twenty years, chemical reaction engineering has been developing rapidly. In particular, mathematical models and the application of electronic computers have provided an effective way for the rapid development of chemical engineering. For example, the development of a new catalyst, previously had to pass a small experiment -
