前言油棕育种工作向来以提高果穗产量为主要目标。近几年来,把某些生理性状纳入选择标准,已成为油棕育种的一个重要组成部分。Corley等于1971年证实,后代间在某些生长参数方面的差异是明显的。他们建议,在选择方案中应将生长参数、种植密度与单株产量一起考虑。Hardon等也报道过果穗指数、叶面积指数和营养组织于物质产量都呈现出合理的加性遗传方差。
Foreword Breeding oil palm has always been to improve ear yield as the main goal. In recent years, the inclusion of certain physiological traits in selection criteria has become an important part of oil palm breeding. Corley et al., 1971, confirmed that the difference in some growth parameters between offspring is significant. They suggested that growth parameters, planting density, and yield per plant should be considered in the selection plan. Hardon et al. Also reported that ear index, leaf area index and vegetative tissue showed reasonable additive genetic variance in material yield.
