2012年是赛珍珠诞辰120周年,为了纪念这位国际友人在促进中西方文化交流方面的巨大贡献,南京大学特将卜凯与赛珍珠夫妇旧居整修一新,设立纪念馆。笔者有幸参与部分展品搜集工作,在此过程中,对赛珍珠有了更深刻的了解。随着很多近代期刊数据库的建立,研究者可以比较便捷地检索到有关赛珍珠的各类文章,比如有关其在华事迹的报道,其作品在中国的译介等情况。对此,学术界已经有了很多研究成果。但是这些报刊大多为国统区出版物,至于赛珍珠在解放区的形象及影响如何,与1949年之后她在大陆地区形象之间有何异同,尚未见有研究者提及。
2012 is the 120th anniversary of Pearl S. Buck’s birth. In memory of the tremendous contribution made by this international friend in promoting Sino-Western cultural exchanges, Nanjing University specially designed and rebuilt old residences of Bu Kai and Pearl of Pearl. I was fortunate enough to participate in part of the collection of exhibits, in the process of Pearl Buck had a deeper understanding. With the establishment of many modern periodical databases, researchers can retrieve all kinds of articles related to Pearl S. Buck more conveniently, such as reports on their stories in China and the translation of their works in China. In this regard, the academic community already has a lot of research results. However, most of these newspapers are publications of the State Council. As for the image and influence of Pearl S. Buck in the Liberated Areas, what are the similarities and differences between her and her image in mainland China after 1949?
