历史教育的根本目的,乃帮助学习者成长、进步、发展,健全人格和公民素养是其重点,“人”是目的,其他皆为手段。这也体现了教育的完整旨趣,正所谓“教育是一种文化传播的社会活动,其明确的目标是让受教育者的性格和精神福祉(人格)产生持久的好转变化,而且,间接地,让更广泛的社会环境发生好的变化,最终延伸至整个世界”(菲利普·W.杰克森《什么是教育》,吴春雷、马林梅译,安徽人民出版社,2012)。我们究竟需要怎样的历史教育观,并非不言自明。这个问题解决不好,历史教育就难以进步。认清要害很重要!历史教育,就教学实践看,目标、价值、意义等“上位”概念重在灵魂指引和精神内涵,而路径、程序、策略等
