目前,课堂教学仍是我国中小学教育教学的主要组织形式,教师和学生在课堂教学中虽然扮演着两种不同的角色,在传统教育观念指导下,课堂教学中居主导地位的无疑还是教师,教师掌握着课堂的方向,单向传输式的教学方式依然在很大程度上占据了三尺讲坛,而新课程理念要求:“教师教是为了学生更好地学。”在这一思想的指导下,课堂教学不再是教师的表现,而是师生互动、学生自主学习、同学间合作的行为表现,学生参与热情,情感体验与探究、思考的过程等。但目前,许多教师手里拿的是新教材,上的却是传统课,教学方式单一,学生仍然是被动地接受知识,严重地扼杀了学生的学习兴趣和创造力。这样就达不到新课改的目标,新课改等于一句空话,教师应该在课标倡导新的教学理念下进行教学。
