苯是工业上常用的化工原料和溶剂。苯容易挥发而污染空气。苯侵入机体后具有一定的危害性。长期接触低浓度苯可引起慢性中毒;短期内吸入高浓度的苯可引起急性中毒。后者多由于生产中发生意外事故或操作不慎所引起,这种情况目前已经少见。北京医学院三个附属医院以往曾诊治过178例在意外情况下吸入较高浓度苯的患者。接触时间短者几十分钟,最长者两小时。患者发生轻重不同的症状,并出现一时性化验异常,经过治疗后都迅速恢复健康。现将临床观察报告如下,目的在于总结经验,进一步搞好苯中毒防治工作。
Benzene is a chemical commonly used in industry and solvents. Benzene is volatile and pollutes the air. Benzene invades the body has some dangers. Long-term exposure to low concentrations of benzene can cause chronic poisoning; short-term inhalation of high concentrations of benzene can cause acute poisoning. The latter is often caused by accidents or inadvertent operations during production, which is now rare. In the past, three affiliated hospitals of Beijing Medical College had treated 178 patients who inhaled higher concentrations of benzene in unexpected situations. Short contact time of dozens of minutes, the longest two hours. Patients with different severity of symptoms and temporary abnormalities appear, after treatment are quickly restored to health. Now the clinical observation report is as follows, the purpose is to sum up experience and further improve the prevention and treatment of benzene poisoning.
