在国内,有很多关于高校专业设置改革服务于地方区域性经济建设发展的课题研究,也都取得了很好的研究成果,并获得了一定的社会效益与经济效益。桂林理工大学发展规划处处长,博士研究生,副教授,硕士生导师王文的一篇《基于服务地方的广西普通高校本科专业设置与建设的思考》的学术论文,就这一相关课题研究现状作了深入的分析,主要内容如下:专业建设是人才培养的基础。坚持服务地方,优化学科专业结构,建立适应和促进地方经济发展的学科专业体系,是地方高校教育改革的方向。广西高校学科专业设置必须坚持服务地方的宗旨,通过对广西普通高校专业设置种类、结构布局、建设水平等方面存在的问题分析,提出了加强和改进广西普通高校本科专业设置和建设的建议。另外,当前海南省大力发展旅游业以及打造全球性的休闲度假品牌,这就要求其海南的高校顺应这一历史局势,调整其专业配置方向。从这些内容中我们可以看出国内高校专业学科教育在经济建设中扮演着重要角色。
