目前各类高校使用的英语专业口语教材纷繁多样,但都或多或少存在一些问题,加之各校教育目标、师资力量、学生实际情况、实际需要等方面的差异,现有的英语专业口语教材不能满足各高校学生的需要。各高校根据自身的实际需要和人才培养特点自编英语专业口语教材就有了很大的必要性。自编英语专业口语教材可按照组建教材编写队伍、调查研究、话题选择、分解任务及评估并形成教材的步骤进行。
