After joining the WTO, there have been many Nordic aquaculture merchants in the Tianmin and Hongqiao aquatic products markets in Beijing and university students doing market research for foreigners. There are indications that foreign distributors are eager to take a share of China’s seafood market. Local operators are under tremendous pressure.
