对大部分高职学生来说,英语既是他们的弱科,又是他们的必修课。恐惧、回避英语学习是很多学生共同的问题。作为任课老师,我们应该认识到:英语课本不是唯一的学习渠道,大学英语课堂应该是丰富的和多元的。语言是富含生命力的文字符号,而不是枯燥的字母组合。通过对文学作品的赏析,不仅能提高学生的英语水平,更能激发学生对英语语言本身的热爱。本文从文学的角度出发,粗略探讨了英美文学和中国文学对高职英语教学的意义。
For most of the higher vocational students, English is both their weak section and their compulsory part. Fear, avoid English learning is a common problem for many students. As a classroom teacher, we should recognize that: English textbooks are not the only learning channels, college English classes should be rich and diverse. Language is a viable text symbol, not a boring combination of letters. Through appreciation of literary works, not only can improve students ’English level, but also stimulate students’ love of English language itself. From the perspective of literature, this article roughly explores the significance of Anglo-American literature and Chinese literature to higher vocational English teaching.
