A NEW FIELD OF SEISMIC DISPLAY (R.C. Farrell et al.) Petroleum geophysical workers need detailed seismic data. However, the general indication of such information has not yet been able to present these details in a form that could be used effectively by interpreters. Three-dimensional display of data is very helpful for solving this problem. This display expands the amount of data that is suitable for simultaneous visual observation, allowing quick and intuitive verification of line closure and interpretation of the construction. Visual comparison of these features when rendering three-dimensional displays, such as reflection intensity, frequency content, high-frequency loss, layer velocity, or other seismic signature shading, provides sufficient solution to details that are easily missed in normal displays
